SEIGE Log in

The apps are theirs. The data is yours.

Seige is an account with Mail, Notes, Storage and Ada, an AI assistant. Apps built on Seige save your data to that account instead of their own servers, encrypted without Seige holding the keys. AI requests are processed in readable form.

Account creation is currently open to invited usernames.

Apps built on Seige keep their data in folders in your account.

Your account is the backend.

An app built on Seige stores its data in your account and uses your AI allowance, so the developer does not need a database of their users or AI keys of their own. You decide which folder each app can use.

  1. An app asks

The first time an app needs your account, Seige opens a window that shows the app’s name and website and the folder it wants to use.

  2. You choose a folder

The app can read and change that folder. Your mail, notes and other folders stay closed to it unless you share them.

  3. The app runs on your account

What the app saves is encrypted into that folder, and its AI features run on your allowance. The folder belongs to your account, so you can open it in Storage or let another app use it.

An app can read the folders you approve while it runs and could copy what it reads, so connect apps you trust. You can take access back in Settings at any time.

Mail, notes, files and an assistant, built in.

Four apps come with your account and share its encryption. Mail between Seige accounts is end-to-end encrypted.

Encrypted before it leaves your device.

Your browser encrypts files, notes and app data before saving them. Seige’s servers store the encrypted result and do not hold the keys to read it.

Each app sees only what you approve

Each app gets only the folders you approve, and Ada uses only the context you allow. You can take an app’s access back at any time.

Encrypted on your device

Seige stores ciphertext without the keys to read it. Only your devices and the apps you approve can open it.

What Seige’s servers can see

Account and routing details, such as which apps are connected and the size and timing of requests. Mail to and from other providers is readable while it is delivered, and incoming mail is encrypted before it is written to disk.

Post-quantum encryption

Each key pairs a post-quantum algorithm with an established one. Your password is checked with OPAQUE and is not sent to Seige.

How Seige protects your data

Your AI, across your apps.

Ada answers questions across your mail, notes, files and connected apps, using only the context you allow. Apps built on Seige use the same AI allowance instead of model keys of their own. Ada processes context in readable form to answer you, and you can read and edit what it remembers.

Your weekend, in one place

Check-in is from 3pm, and the address is in your travel file. Your note says to bring a book and leave Sunday open. You usually like a window seat, so I kept that in mind.

Bring your own backend.

Each of your users brings their own: their Seige account stores your app’s data and runs its AI. One npm package gives a browser app sign-in, a database, file storage and AI, with no project to create, no API key to copy and no server to deploy, so a coding agent can set it up without asking you for credentials.

  • Sign-in with no client ID or callback page
  • A database with no access rules to write
  • Files encrypted in the user’s account
  • AI calls with no model key in your code

Questions

Who can create a Seige account?

Account creation is currently open to invited usernames. Anyone who uses an app built on Seige signs in with a Seige account.

Can apps sell my data?

Apps built on Seige store your data in your account rather than on their own servers, so the developer does not hold a database of their users. An app you approve can read its folders while it runs and could copy what it reads, so connect apps you trust. Seige stores the data encrypted, without the keys to read it.

What happens to my data when I disconnect an app?

The app’s folder and everything in it stay in your account. Seige replaces the folder’s keys, so the app cannot read anything saved after you disconnect it. An app can keep copies of data it has already read.

Can Seige read my files and notes?

Files, notes and app data are encrypted in your browser before upload. Seige’s servers store the encrypted result and do not hold the keys to read it. Requests to Ada and to app AI features are processed in readable form.

Which encryption does Seige use?

Account and folder keys are composite post-quantum OpenPGP keys: ML-KEM-768 with X25519 for encryption, and ML-DSA-65 with Ed25519 for signatures. Password sign-in uses OPAQUE, so your password is not sent to Seige.

Do developers need to register an app or get an API key?

No. Seige identifies a browser app by its website, and the user approves it in a Seige window the first time it needs their account. Registering is optional. An app can pass its own name, which the window shows next to its website.

Who pays for an app’s AI requests?

AI requests from an app are charged to the user’s Seige AI allowance, after the user allows the app to generate AI answers. The app does not hold a model API key.
